Men of Reform Judaism Announces support of Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion’s new college fellowship, Ritually Rooted
Men of Reform Judaism (MRJ) is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion (HUC-JIR) through sponsoring grants for student ritual projects in HUC-JIR's new college fellowship, Ritually Rooted. This collaboration aims to enhance educational opportunities for college students and further the mission of fostering Jewish leadership.
About the fellowship: Ritually Rooted is a fellowship for college-aged individuals who want to dive deeper into Jewish wisdom, finding and creating relevance for today. Fellows will have the opportunity to learn timeless Jewish wisdom; connect with a cohort of peers on campuses across North America; build relationships with mentors and faculty who are innovators and community builders; and lead their local communities in creative ritual.
“This partnership marks an exciting chapter for both MRJ and HUC-JIR,” said Steven Portnoy, Executive Director of Men of Reform Judaism. “By combining our resources and expertise, we can offer unparalleled support to emerging Jewish leaders, thereby ensuring a vibrant future for Reform Judaism.”
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Men of Reform Judaism,” said Erin Fine, Associate Director of Recruitment and Partnership Development of Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion. “Together, we can reinforce our shared values and provide our fellows with the tools they need to lead and inspire.”
About Men of Reform Judaism:
Men of Reform Judaism has been at the forefront of promoting Jewish values, education, and leadership for over 100 years. Our organization supports Reform Jewish men and all those wishing to identify with us through fellowship, advocacy, and meaningful programming. Men of Reform Judaism is that place where intellect, vision, matter, and spirit meet. It is this place because our members recognize their obligation to our Jewish heritage and values.
Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion was founded in 1875 to provide rabbinical training for those who would offer progressive, enlightened, and modern spiritual leadership for the new American pulpit. Today, HUC-JIR is an international center of applied Jewish wisdom with a global reach and the academic, spiritual, and professional leadership development center of Reform Judaism.
