ACC condemns acts of violence over the weekend
December 29, 2019
We condemn the acts of violence perpetrated against fellow Jews and those against our Christian neighbors. How can it be that attending worship or celebrating a holiday with one’s Rabbi has become a dangerous activity? The rise of anti-Semitic violence cannot be ignored. We are grateful for those leaders who speak out and for those who step up to protect our Jewish communities. As Cantors, we see the darkness and we spread light. We witness hate and we sing about love and hope. We feel the fear in our communities and yet we find the courage to stand up against the evil in our world. We must be the light, the hope and the courage. We will not stand idly by while our neighbor bleeds.
