Session 1: Unmasking Conflict: Understanding Needs and Communication Styles
Conflict is an inevitable part of human interaction, but it doesn’t have to be destructive to clergy teams. In this session, we will delve into the often unacknowledged, underlying needs that fuel conflict and explore how communication styles manifest during disagreements. Through engaging exercises and insightful discussions, participants will gain a deeper understanding of their own communication patterns and learn to recognize those of others for the purpose of creating a stronger clergy team.
Session 2: Feedback Fundamentals: Breaking Barriers, Managing Triggers, and Using Language That Works
Feedback is essential for growth and development, yet it can often be fraught with challenges. In this session, we will dive into the psychology of feedback, examine the impact of our communication styles, and practice techniques to foster open and honest conversations that promote learning and collaboration between clergy team members.
Session 3: Cultivating Successful Clergy Team Meetings
Clergy team meetings are vital for collaboration, alignment, and nourishment. This workshop will equip clergy teams with the tools and strategies to transform their meetings into productive, engaging, and enriching experiences. This session takes the learnings from sessions 1 and 2, pulling them together to support best practices for clergy team meetings and supervision.
