ACC CCPD: Civic Engagement 101: How to bring a voter engagement plan to your congregation

Cantor Jason Kaufman is a leader in the Reform movement in the work of civic engagement and social justice.  In 2018 he was the national co-chair of the URJ Civic Engagement Campaign and in 2019 created the 2019 Virginia Civic Engagement Campaign with a leadership group at Beth El Hebrew Congregation in Alexandria VA, where he has served since 2012.

Cantor Kaufman will be discussing the 2020 URJ Civic Engagement Campaign “Every Voice, Every Vote” in addition the campaign that Beth El Hebrew Congregation, Alexandria has created, in partnership with the RAC and the Center for Common Ground.

Every congregation in unique, with its own customs and traditions that often dictate how - and if - we can harness the full strength of our congregations in the work of civic engagement.  Cantor Jason Kaufman will be discussing various ways in which you  and your congregation can involve yourself in this work, while navigating the various sensitives of our politically diverse communities.

Non-Pulpit and retired cantors are very much invited and welcome to attend this program as well.  There is great work for all of us to do together.  All of our voices are needed.
